There is a mountain in the County Tipperary called Slievnamuck.

There is a mountain in the county Tipperary called Slievnamuck. Some time ago I heard how this mountain got its name.
Slievenamuck is said to be called after a big sow called "Bro". This sow was causing an amount of damage in the neighbourhood until it was killed by Finn Mac Cumhall. When Finn was a young man he came to a smith's house in the village of Cullen. The smith's name was Lochan. Finn remained at the smith's house for bout a week and when he was departing he asked Lochan to make two spears for him. The smith obliged and warned him not to go upon the road which the sow haunted. Finn didn't listen to Lochans advice but took to that road. He met the sow and thrust one of the spears through her killing her instantly.
