- A well dedicated to St Brigid lies in Ballintubber in the farm of Mr Hennessy Spittle.
It is surrounded by two or three trees and the statue of St Brigid is errected over the well.
People come from far and near to visit this well as it is believed to cure the chin cough.
Around the well are four stones and a decade of the Rosary is to be said at each stone and the fifth is said at the well.
A piece of moss is then taken home and boiled in milk which is given to the person.
After ten days the moss is taken back again.- Bailitheoir
