  1. Sugán chairs.
    There is scarcely a farm house in this district but has, for general use, sugán chairs. When the seat of one of these chairs is worn the old sugán is taken off a new sugán is put on. Up to fifteen years ago the chairs in the farmers houses were seated with hay twisted into cord known as sugán but many farmers changed it for the ready new hemp.
    The Thatcher
    Wheaten straw made into reed, by hitting the sheaf against a stone, this removes the seed and does not injure the straw. This reed is used for thatching. The thatcher cuts a ridge of the old thatch and puts up new
