Bill Guiney's son threw a stone at Fr. Enright. The stone rebounded and struck himself in the eye and he lost the sight of it.
After the death of members of this family great noise used be heard in the house each night.
People used to think that the dresser fell and that everything in it was broken.

Poll na Bruighne is also called by the local people "The Fairies Hole". There is a large projecting rock under which is a cave-like entrance. The fairies used come out of this hole every night and dance round in a ring.
Every morning a beaten path, circular in shape, was noticed, marking the place where they danced.
The old people used to say that if you threw a stone into this hill it would be thrown back at you again "AND BLOOD ON IT."
It is also said that it is the entrance to an underground passage, which leads to Mount Brown about 5 miles distant.
and again to Pound Lane in Ballingarry about 3 miles distant.
