  1. A basket maker
About seventy years ago, there was a great basket maker living in Carroward Dromcollogher. His name was O'Shea. He lived near Pickly's Glen where he had fine twigs for basket making. He made baskets every day in the summer. He charged two or three shillings for the baskets. The baskets he made were for drawing turf or potatoes. He also made calf-baskets and shieghs [?}. He went around to the fairs of Dromcollogher selling hand baskets and to the people living near him.
