In February 1933, a great snowfall fell. It was blown in castles against every ditch and house. In some places it was over twelve feet high. It stayed near ditches for nearly five weeks. The wind that blew with it, caused it to be blown in through keye holes and in the chimneys. Fortunately enough, no lives were lost in this district.About thirteen years ago, there was a great storm. It was in the month of September. It blew the wynds of hay that were out in the meadows upon bushes, and blew the roofs off dwelling houses.
