    Jerry Foren from Broadford was a great athlete. About thirty years ago, he was one of the best athletes on every Munster sportsfield. No matter how much he would be handicapped he would always win the race. He held his great record for running for many years. After some time, he got into bad health from running long distances and died at the early age of forthy.
