    heard the music of pipes. He kept dancing until he died from it, for it was fairy music. Cloncrippa got its name from a disease once there which swept many people away. It means the valley of the slaughter or the meadow of the corpses. There is a field in our land called the Culanioghan. Gurteen is a townland in Feenagh and it means the small garden. Highmount got its name from a hill there and Gurtalassa, another townland means the garden of the fort.
