  1. We have several wild birds in my district. First we have those that stay with us all the year, such as the robin, the sea-gull, the black-bird, the crow, the scall-(robin) crow, the jack-da, the bullfinch, the patiridge, the curlieu, etc; Secondly we have the migratory birds such as the cuckoo, the linnet, the swallow, the martin, the thrush, etc;

  2. The (weather) weather is often judged by the behaviour of the swallow & the martin. They go low and skim the water when we are going to have bad weather but soar high into the clouds when we are to have good weather. The also fly low when they try to catch flies. When the sea-gull comes inland it is a sign of rain as it usually stays on the shore such as BallyBunion, Dingle bay, etc;
