  1. Old men at present talk about a Hallinan man residing around Broadford but no fixed adress. He was about eight fee in height and he often fought two or three ordinary men together.     At a place called the Lots a few miles to the west of Killeedy a man called "Paitchin Poll" resided, he could run with any horse and after ran at sports in Killeedy and was always the victor leaving the field. If he was on a journey and to see a swift pony coming he'd run with the pony while the last breath was in him. If by chance the pony crossed him out he'd have his revenge on the driver afterwards
