There is an old saying, "Monday for health, Tuesday for wealth, Wednesday the best day of all, Thursday for crosses, Friday for crosses and Saturday no luck at all. It was the custom of Strawboys to visit the house of the bride where the party or feast was held in order to celebrate the marriage.
