There were candles made long ago and this is how it was done. They got strong rushes and having peeled them placed them on the floor in bunches of three. Then wick was made out of thread or cord and placed in the centre of each bunch.
Before this they rendered fat and placed it in a bowl. After that the rushes were steeped in the bowl and accordingly stuck together and in this way the rush candles were made.
