About ten oclock that night a batch of strawboys, sometimes girls was sure to come and this is how they were dressed. They were very much like the wren-boys. They wore crettone cotton suits, tall hats decorated with feathers and also green and white sashes across their shoulders. They took with them violins, melodions, drums and tambourine and had great sport dancing. Before they left the captain of the strawboys asked the newly wed woman to dance and she willingly did.
