- Shops were not common in the country long ago, but the people had small shops, in which they used to sell and buy eggs, butter and sweets. The people had to go to the nearest town to make purchases except clothes and boots which they got from the local tailors and shoe makers.
In the villages buying and selling was carried out after mass, but it is gone out of fashion now nearly. In this way they used to sell groceries, meal and flour and other things. Money was not always given for goods, but instead labour was given and sometimes goods were bartered in the district.
