    I heard a story last night from my father and his father told him. Long ago the Irish were very clever. They used make baskets. This is the way they used make them. The used get sallies and put them in to the water to make them soft.
    Then they would get strong sallies and put them down in the ground standing up. Then they would get the others and weave them around them. Then they made the handles by getting three more sallies and plaiting them. That is the way they made them long ago.
