- The most harmful weeds are the chicken weed and the dock-leaf. Most of them are harmful becaus they impoverish the soil. The challán buidhe is looked upon as a weed that only grows on good land. Some herbs have medicinal cures for e.g. Lusarlin is used for sciatica and is a very severe blister. This herb is so severe that a pad of rushes must be laid beneath it in circles one larger than another Lasarlín if put down on the cup of the joint would draw the jelly out of it.
"Mac an dá haba" is used for an evil on the back of the neck or poll but sufferers must not be in the house while the root is roasting. The male buchallán buidhe has a cure for the Yellow Jaundice. Slánlus is used for stopping wounds from bleeding. Comfrey is used for hurts and sprains. The root is scraped(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
