   Roinn Roinn Postáil

   You Irish folks sit here awhile.
   Till I speak some words to you.
   Concerning dear old Ireland the land I loved so true.
   That lovely Isle now far away that's still so dear to me.

   Back to my dear native home my thoughts do often stray.
   Fare thee well my loving father, likewise my mother too;
   Fare thee well my loving brothers likewise my sisters kind, it grieves me to the very soul to leave you all behind.

   Farewell to all you Pound boys.
   Farewell to sweet Tulligoline.
   I think I see that happy spot from this far distant clime.
   Happy happy were the days I spent in Tulligoline when walking with the Pound boys of a Summer evening fine.
   When no care or sorrow darkened my spirits they were light, For in walking
