They caught many fish and salted them and saved them. There were hung up on the rafters. Sprats are very seldom eaten and are never sold now.
    Long ago people ate many eggs on Easter Sunday. This custom is kept up yet. Long ago tea was a great luxury, and it was only the well-to-do people drank it. Coffee was very much used by the poor people.
