- Last year Mrs Crowley who lives on the Ballyphehane Road told mother about the herb Cos-dub.
The herb grows on ditches and an old woman from Clonakilty told Mrs Crowley that the herb was a great cure for weak lungs.
Mrs Crowley's daughter was delicate. The doctor said her lungs were diseased and gave her mother no hope of her recovery.
The Clonakilty woman told her to stew two fists of herbs in a quart of water for 2 hours, strain and put liquid in bottle.
The girl drank a wine glass of the mixture every second morning and was cured. This girl is now 25 years, fine and strong(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
