    Sir George Coalthrus owned Blarney Castle for some years. It is noted for the famous Blarney Stone. It is said that anyone, that would kiss this stone is supposed to obtain the gift of eloquence. There is a cave underneath the castle for prisoners.
    In Grenagh graveyard there is the ruin of an old church. It is something over five hundred years old. Mass was said in that church before the present church was made.

A man by the name of O'Callaghan, built Davi's Castle, a man by the name of Barrett built Barretts Castle, and a man by the name of Mc Carthy Mor built Blarney Castle. They are all about four or five hundred years old. Davi's Castle is not derelict yet, but the other two
