The local fairs are held in Donoughmore, Rathduff and Mallow. Fairs are always held in towns. Buyers transact business at the country fairs.
Rathduff Fair was once held at Rathduff Cross but it is now held in a field owned by Mr. Coleman Rathduff. There is no local traditions of fairs held on hills or forts. Money is paid to the owner of the cattle when they are bought.
When an animal is sold luck money is given. It is given according to the price paid for the animal. When a bargain is mad the parties concerned showed their agreement by striking hands
