Roche's house. It is surrounded by a long ditch on which a circle of trees are planted. It is called "The Keel."
The ancient church which gave the name to Killacloyne, Carrigtwohill, Co. Cork was on the boundary of Killacloyne and Ballinbrittig. A small mound remains beside the road and stream just north of Fitzgeralds gate, in Ballinbrittig, Carrigtwohill, Co. Cork.
Another old graveyard is said to have existed at Kilgoura in Leamlara, Carrigtwohill, Co. Cork near boundary of parish.
All these old Irish church sites were of timber. It was after the Norman Invasion stone churches were built. Such churches were erected in Templecurrahin, Carrigtwohill, and Ballyannon. There is a large ruin in Carrigtwohill graveyard with tower attached. Only an old wall remains in Templecurraheen, but the graveyard is still in use. At Ballyannon not a trace of either church or graveyard only the name, "An Roilg". The old graveyard was close beside the castle which fell into Lord Midleton's hands. He closed up and tilled the graveyard and pulled down the church.
