  1. Long ago there lived a baker who made bread to sell to all the people who lived near his home. He was a very greedy man. He thought of nothing but money and how to keep it . Whenever he got a chance he would trick the people. He wold give them light weight and he often charged more than was fair for the loaves. This baker had a daughter who helped him to do his work. When she saw how her father made money by tricking the people she often did the same. One day her father left her minding the shop. After a bit an old woman came in and asked for apiece of dough to make a cake for she was hungry. The greedy girl told her to go away at once but the old woman kept on begging for the piece of dough. At last the gave her a small piece of dough and told her be going. The old woman askes her to leave her bake the small piece of dough in the over for I no oven of my own.
