  1. A long time ago there lived people named Barrys in the parish of Kildorrery Co. Cork Now it happened that they had very cross cows and used to stop at home from mass to mind them. This Sunday one of the girls was inside from mass. While the rest of them were at second mass she went up in the fields to see the cows. The corner of one of the fields was very rocky and some of the rocks were high and they looked like headstones. As she came near these stones she saw three strange men kneeling at these stones and they looked like they would be praying. As she came near them one of the men turned to her and said "Never miss mass on a Sunday." She came home as quick as she could. They were home from mass when she came. She told her father of her experience and described the men to him and how they were dressed.
