  1. Long ago there was a man living near Glenville. In this man's land there was a fort and one day as he was passing it he saw a bridle up on the bank and he took it home with him. Next night as he was going to bed he heard a voice calling him and it told him to put back the bridle before morning but he did not. Every day after that he was getting poorer and poorer and in the end he was so poor that he had to sell his farm altogether.
