  1. There are many holy wells in Ireland But the only ones I know of are Our Lady;s well of Castletown. The pattern day is on the 15th of August. The well is decorated with flowers. There is a lovely altar of Our Lady with blue glass around it. Any amount of people pay rounds during that day and on other of her feast days. There is always hurling matches and gymnastics and other games on that day. in the hurling field in honour of her feast day. I was there last year and I enjoy-
