The barking was very strange and the men stood to listen. They got terrified, however, when the wicked yelping came over their heads from the direction of Kate O'Keefe's house and with the speed of a snipe crossed the country towards the north of Dunhallow which was the O'Keefe's country. Afterwards the men learned of Kate O'Keefe's
