    When Our Lord was dying on the cross a drop of his blood fell on the breast of the robin. The robin has still got a red breast.

  2. In my district which is called Paal West, parish of Dromtariffe, barony of Duhallow, County of Cork, the thrush, the blackbird and the robin are the most common birds seen.
    The thrush builds its nest in laurels, and the robin builds its nest in a haybarn.
    The blackbird's eggs are bluish eggs and the thrush's eggs are blue, and
