  1. In those days there are very few forts to be seen. There are two forts which i know in this district. There is one fort in Rosline, situated in Nuhan's land, and the other is situated in Rathranna in Daly's land. Both forts are circular in shape, the fort that is situated in Nunan's land is covered all round with big ivy trees shutting up almost the whole fort. The fort that is situated in Daly's field is fenced all round with earth and stone, and covered all round with trees inside. In the middle of both forts there is a big ivy shady tree and under these ivy trees there is believed to be a big heavy stone door, which it is said that the Danes and the Tuatha Dé
