  1. There are many signs which are given by the old people with regard to the weather.
    If we look at the sky and see black clouds there it is a sure sign of rain. If the sun sinks pale it is generally followed by rain. If there is a halo seen around the moon it is also followed by rain. If the sky is studded with bright stars it is a sign of dry frosty weather. When the wind is coming from the west it brings rain. When it comes from the north it is the sign of snow.
    When the swallows fly low it is the sign of rain but when they fly high it is a sign of dry weather.
    When seagulls fly inland it reminds us that there is a storm at sea.
    The cat hunches his back when rain is forthcoming.
    When the hills are looking nigh it is the sign of bad weather. Flying
