It is supposed that when you hear the cuckoo for the first time in the season, take note of where you are standing for it is there you will spend your life, also take off your boot and you will find a hair in it and you will marry a person with the same coloured hair. Also if you hear a cuckoo in your right ear it is for good luck and if you hear it in your left ear it is the sign of bad luck. When you hear the cuckoo if you search on the ground where you are standing or walking and find a white hair
