    This song is sung by my Grandfather.
    Daniel the Piper. aged 80 years.
    As I roved out one morning fair all in the month of June.
    I went into an old church yard to seek a noble tomb.
    I over heard an old man say as the tears rolled from his eyes.
    'Tis underneath that low green sod where Peter Crowley lies.

    Who went into Killcluney wood that day along with you.
    Who stood behind that broad oak tree and fired the signal gun.
    Who fought and died for Ireland's rights twas you my darling son.
