   named Redden hanged at the
   upper Cross Newmarket and it was then known as "Redden's Cross " but it is known now as the "Upper Cross" near the Catholic Church

   in the Penal days. In Mountkeeffe there is a tree which is called "The Gallow's Tree". In olden times
