    Seán Burns was a native of Abbeyfeale Co. Limerick, he
    was supposed to be a very strong man.
    Once, two men were travelling from Abbeyfeale Co. Limerick with
    a cart load of oats. one of the large sacks of oats fell
    from the cart, and they were unable to replace it on the
    load. At last Seán Burns who was travelling to
    Abbeyfeale came, he caught the sack with one hand
    and threw it on top of the load. (Told by James okeeffe Glashen
    William O'Leary of Castleishon, in the parish of
    Tullilease, Co. Cork, was also noted as a very strong
    man, almost equal in strength to Seán, was out
    riding on horse-back one day. He called at a forge to
    get a coal to light his pipe. Seán Burns who happened to
    be in the forge at the time, told the black-smith to
    place the coal on the anvil, Seán took the anvil with
    the coal on it to O'Leary, who caught the anvil and
    lighted his pipe with the coal, having done so he returned
