There is a very old castle in a certain part of the county Limerick. It was built six or seven hundred years ago, but is now in ruins. They took the plate home with them. Some days afterwards a travelling hedge teacher called to the house. The plate was shown to him. He looked at the writing on the plate and saw that it was latin.
