- When St Abby was going to Ballyvourney she called to the Church-Cross at Ard na Crusha where there was a stone and in this she left the sign of her hand and knees.In this place there was a protestant Church and the Minster that was in the great house was getting a wall built around St Abby's stone so they got it removed with a horse and the following the stone was again in its own place. The horse that removed the stone broke its four legs and the stone is in the same place ever since.
- It is supposed that on small Christmas night that the rushes become silk and the water turns into wine and all the four footed animals can speak.Long ago people stayed up to hear them.
