  1. Dooneen
    I
Once again let me roam Clara mountain
To inhale the sweet heather balmed air
And gaze down on blest Tubpid fountain
Where feeble foks gather in prayer
On the green shady groves of O' Leary's,
Along by the clear Finnow stream,
Now - my vision sums drawn, as by farces
To the daisy clad fields of Dooneen.
    II
There's my own town so cosy beneath me
The school house I loved when a boy
Where my first faithful master used teach me
The songs of our land to enjoy
How proudly he sang God save Ireland
As he infused our love for the green
And when loud rang the call of our sireland
My pals were all there from Dooneen.
    III
There's the old Boeing away in Duhallow
    Defying each wild winter's blast
Its grey walls reflect on the shallow
Or the ford where O' Sullivan passed
And with times wearing hand yet contending
The brown glen so silent between
Bar the notes from the small birds thats blencting
With the beauties that bloom in Dooneen.
