    There are about seven tailors in the parish of Millstreet and each of these employ a number of men. These tailors work at home and most of them stock their own material. There is no cloth spun in this district.
    The implements used by tailors are sewing machines, irons for pressing, a measuring tape and a scissors.
    Tailors make no shirts scarcely, but they are made in the homes.
    The type of cloth used for making shirts are flannel and flannelette.
    Most of the stocking are knitted by machinery nowadays, but formerly they were knitted in the home.
