The people long ago had three meals a day Breakfast, dinner and supper. In the morning they ate stirrabout for their Breakfast and at dinner they ate potatoes and fish and drank milk, and they had indian meal for their supper. During Christmas and Easter the people used tea, butter, currants, raisins and they used a lot of eggs during Easter. They were always looking forward to Christmas and Easter. The food was very cheap in olden days. Every morning they would work two hours before Breakfast. They were very healthy people in those days. While they were eating their meals they had the table in the middle of the floor, and when they were finished their meals they would hang it up on the wall. They had not tea until about ninety years ago in this district.- Bailitheoir
