   There is a fort in my district. There is an old story told about it. It is said that long ago a farmer and his servant men were picking potatoes in the field where the fort is situated. The farmer gave orders to his men to make pits of the potatoes in different parts of the field. However, dinner-time came, and as the day was fine, the men ate their dinner by the fence. As they were eating their dinner, six women came up out of the fort. They had a number of bags and they approached the pits.

   The fairy women began picking the potatoes into the bags. The men continued eating their dinner and pretended not to notice the women. The fairy women went back to the fort and each of them appeared to be carrying a big bag of potatoes. The farmer went around to inspect the pits and to his surprise found that there was not a single potato missing. The farmer thought this very queer, and the only explanation he could give was, that as he or his men did
