- Johnny Maher lived near Carrigaline. He was a very strong man. He used to wear a white flannel coat. He used come across to Minane Bridge every day and go into the marsh and run around it until the fit was gone. One day he went to Ringabella and started running in one of the fields. There was a river running in that field. There was another man living there named Sisk and he was very strong. Johnny Maher was crossing the river and Sisk caught him and pulled him into the river until he got over the fit. In the Summer time(continues on next page)
