  1. Sean Og De Barra Dunbogue was the great hero of Cineal Aodha. He was famous as a great fighter. One one occasion he was going with his father, to Cork, who had some cattle to sell there. When they reached Dubhshliabh Sean Og got sick and sat down by the side of the way, his father going on alone. After some time Sean Og fell asleep but was awaked by Dórdhubh the magic woman or witch of Dubhshliabh. In a few words she quickly told him that his father was going to be attacked by the robbers and that he should hurry to his aid. At the same time she gave him a magic cloak which had the power of protecting him from the blows of his enemies.
His illness had completely disappeared and Sean Og made all haste to help his father. He reached Capwell near Cork city where he saw his father engaged in a terrible fight with the robbers.
Sean Og fresh for the fight jumped into the middle of the attackers and scattered them like chaff on all sides of him. Soon all was over and Sean Og and his father disposed the cattle and returned home.
