Ar an leathanach seo

  1. There is a graveyard in Sherkin Island and near the gate of it there were two gable ends of an old building. About sixty years ago, one of the gables fell. It was always believed that fairies used dwell in the old building so the people were afraid to remove the fallen stones.
There was a Protestant man living in the neighbourhood and he was building a house. He gathered some of the stones for they were fine building-stones, and he carried them home. But whatever was the cause, he was seen the following morning, putting the stones back again in the gable.
No body ever touched them since, and they are lying yet where they fell when the gable fell.
