    is then got and a notch is made through it. On this the snare is put and steadied and this keeps the snare and upright when it is put setting.
    Bird-Basket Four flat cláríns of timber are at first tacked together to make the frame. Four thin twigs are placed, one in each corner and stood up so as to meet about a foot from the frame. They are then fastened at the top with a piece of cord. Twigs about six inches long are then placed in these about half an inch apart and are fastened with cords to the standing ones. These twigs are getting smaller as they near the top until the bird basket is completed. A bow is then got and another little stick on which the basket is sat.
    Water-Gun I often saw boys making water-guns from wild bamboo which they found growing in marshes
