Ar an leathanach seo

  1. A few years ago near Goleen there was a man whose hayrick was burnt.
    His young son had some matches; then he gathered some sticks and went out to where the hayrick was.
    He was looking for some nice place to light a fire.
    He thought it would be a nice place to have a fire near the hayrick, so he laid down the sticks and put some lighting matches to them.
    After a few minutes the hayrick caught fire.
    Mr Roycroft who was going along the road saw the smoke and went to tell the boy's Father; after a while his Father came out and he sent his son around to all the houses in the neighbour-hood for help.
    They drew buckets of water, and poured the water on the hayrick, but it was no good, for the fire was gone too far in the rick.
    There was about £5, worth of hay burnt. The Father was very angry
