- The following are the signs of weather lore. When the sheep is out grazing early in the morning it is the sign of rain. We are going to have rain when the wind is blowing from the west. When the birds fly low it is the sign of rain. When the the robin is in the stable it is the sign of snow. When the robin is under the bushes it is the sign of rain.
When the goat is looking for shelter it is the sign of rain. When the robin is on the top of the tree it is the sign of good weather.
