    (7) Ballyminton - A number of families of that name (Minton) was supposed to have lived there
    (8) Miltown - A mill is supposed to have existed somewhere on the banks of the canal - no trace remains
    (9) Culleenoola - The wood of the apples (given in O'Donovan's letters)
    (10) Culleenirvan - An old man some years ago stated that this meant the wood where one man lived alone.
