  1. Long a go there were soldiers living in the old ruins of Gort. The old people say that there was a tunel under-ground and that the soldiers hid their goods in it. There are cells under the ground also. Near the building there was a deep pump and it is said that there was a man drowned in it but it is now filled with stones. The tunnel and cells are also filled up with stones and weeds. We can see by the ruins that the building must have been a very big one. Long ago it was a beautiful place with a large
