And famed old Donoughmore.
All going to fight for Ireland.

Though the day was bitter cold.
They little knew that behind their backs
The ambush had been sold.
For a traitor dwelt amongst them.
And this they did not know.
And the soldiers found their hiding place.

And they were well prepared.
