  1. One of the best known cures for a cold is cammomile. Some cammomile flowers are put into a jug, and boiling water poured on top of them, and the person having the cold inhales the steaming vapour.
    There is also a very good cure in lime-water which can either be drunk, or rubbed to burns or sores. It is invaluable for young children to build body and brain and nerves. When mixed with sweet oil it is a great cure for burns.
    A very good cure for sprains is goose grease. "Yarra", a wild flower, is a cure for rheumatism.
    Anybody who rubs a lizard across his tongue will always cure a burn by rubbing his tongue to the effected part. If a person puts a frog into his mouth, he is supposed not to get a toothache.
    St. Abbey's Bowl in Ballyvourney was a great cure in olden times. People used to take it to their homes to cure all diseases. One day a woman took
